Our Instructors

Ed started playing at the age of 14 when a friend showed him an electric guitar. After taking some lessons and figuring out “licks” from the Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, etc. he got a teacher who turned him on to Jazz. He eventually replaced that teacher at the music store where he was teaching. Ed studied music theory, which led to a degree.

Playing is a continual source of joy for Ed and he strives to share that joy with his students. He has been in the Reno area for 20 years and continues to perform both solos and with a trio for weddings and other events. He also plays every Sunday at Unity of Reno.
